Looking Back: Kubota Brabender Technologie at the POWTECH Trade Fair 2023

POWTECH Puts Powder Processing in the Spotlight

For three days in September, Nuremberg became an international forum for powder and bulk goods technologies. Over 9,500 international process engineering experts came to POWTECH to catch up with the latest developments, innovations, and advancements in manufacturing processes involving powder, granules, bulk solids, and liquids. Kubota Brabender Technologie was there to meet with partners and experts, showcase many of its proven products – and to unveil the new NX Series feeder.

Touching base and making connections

The exhibition allowed Kubota Brabender Technologie to establish new connections and strengthen existing relationships, exchange information, and stay up to date with trends in the field. „For us, POWTECH is one of the most important trade shows in Germany,“ Managing Director Bruno Dautzenberg emphasizes. „Only the K – the main trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry – is more significant.“

One central reason for this is that compared to other trade fairs, POWTECH attracts visitors from a very broad range of industries. „It’s easy to allow yourself to become focused only on the markets you already know,“ says Bruno Dautzenberg. „It’s also a missed opportunity. That’s why we value the chances POWTECH gives us to connect with experts from industries we are not yet familiar and associated with.“

Broad spectrum of sectors

The company’s core markets pharmaceutical, plastics, and chemical industries were strongly represented. Kubota Brabender Technologie was also able to establish connections with manufacturers that might – at first glance – seem to have no need of bulk material handling solutions. One such example: a bitumen manufacturer. Working with the material bitumen requires premium handling solutions that are perfectly tailored to the specific needs of both the manufacturing process and the materials – something that Kubota Brabender Technologie is ideally suited to provide.

New insights and fresh ideas

Kubota Brabender Technologie’s booth was well-visited. The company’s team is extremely satisfied with the number and quality of the conversations they had with other experts in the field – both familiar faces and new acquaintances. Their dialogues with visitors and fellow exhibitors, manufacturing plant constructors, suppliers, and expert visitors with specific issues allowed them to connect with many sectors of industry. They gained valuable new points of view, ideas and considerations.

Introducing the NX feeder

POWTECH also provided the perfect platform for Kubota Brabender Technologie to showcase their new product: the NX series feeder. This remarkable feeder is the company’s first product development milestone after becoming part of the Kubota Corporation. It combines the know-how and technology of Kubota and Brabender, and is thus more than an excellent feeding solution. As the result of two formerly separate companies growing together into "One Company", it is also a testimony to the possibilities their combined expertise holds for the future.

As visitors to the company’s booth learned, the NX feeder combines the mechanical design of one of Kubota Corporation’s most innovative gravimetric feeders with Brabender Technologie‘s load cells and motors. The NX series features a special, negative-angle wall hopper geometry as well as a diagonal agitator – a design that effectively prevents bridging and ensures the optimal, constant, and even flow of bulk material. It provides medium feed capacity and is an ideal solution for sticky powders with poor flow characteristics, as well as for fibers and pellets.
