Technical Centers around the world

A new plant is commissioned, a production process on an existing line is changed, or a new bulk material is used. It may then be necessary to check new materials and adjust feeders as necessary. Another reason for paying a "visit to the Technical Center" is equipment that can feed a wide range of different materials. They have a correspondingly wide range of configurations and sometimes make feeding tests mandatory.

Wide range of specific experimental and testing options

The experimental and testing options available at Kubota Brabender Technologie’s Technical Centers worldwide are as diverse as the customer inquiries that the Centers receive. The feeding tests provide both new and long-standing customers with peace of mind in relation to their specific feeding tasks and applications. Most inquiries are related to continuous processes, as these dovetail with high-precision applications. But requests are also received for small- and large-scale batch applications.

Test fundamentals

Each test is preceded by a material analysis, which first of all surveys certain parameters. Once a sample has been submitted, a solids analysis is conducted to ascertain grain size, flow properties, bulk density and dump angle. This data forms the basis for preselecting appropriate feeders. Equally, it is often important to have sufficient quantities of the material to be fed available, in order to be able to conduct multiple series of tests.

Cross-location database

A specially developed software program records series of measurements and therefore accuracy of the feeders. All three Kubota Brabender Technologie Technical Centers save and share information on tests and bulk materials on a common cross-location database – factoring in stringent data security standards, of course. Customers worldwide therefore benefit from a broadly based data pool.
