35 employees from various disciplines work here in the Sales, Service, Design Engineering, Technical Center, Admin and Production teams.

From sales agency to subsidiary

It all began in 1984 as a sales agency. “We then moved quickly to a license agreement, while increasingly specializing in making feeder equipment tailored to the North American markets”, Guy Catton, CEO of the Canadian subsidiary, recalls. In 1997 the sales agency became a subsidiary, Brabender Technologie Inc. and has been growing steadily ever since.

Feeding solutions for the North American market

“We find ourselves in a unique position of taking proven global designs and customizing them to meet our local customers’ needs”, is how Catton highlights the advantages of a global structure.

We integrate regional standards into global feeder designs with our design engineering teams. We also find that our full complement of disciplines along with our size facilitate quick, effective and often unique feed solutions.

Close relationship with corporate headquarters in Germany

When asked about the relationship with the German team, the Canadians are full of praise. They are proud of their strong intercontinental relationships. “One reason for this exceptional level of communication is certainly the long history of working together,” Catton explains. “These close relationships have been forged over many years, in some cases since 1984 – allowing for a quick and efficient sharing of ideas throughout the whole business, for example the manufacturing, logistics, sales and design engineering teams. We have a global product and customer base. Making information flow efficiently over long distances is a specific priority across all Kubota Brabender Technologie locations.”
